Surrounded by love

Updated: Feb 24

I created this bouquet with sympathy, love and quiet strength in mind.

This arrangement brings together calming greens, meaningful blooms and soft movement; chosen to honour a much-loved father and to hold space for grief, gratitude and remembrance.

From resilient foliage to flowers that speak of hope, friendship and enduring love, every stem reflects support, care and being there; not just today, but in the days that follow.

Floral storytelling

This bouquet was sent from a group of friends. I captured the friends thoughts and wishes in a short, heartfelt message:

Dear...

Sending you so much love as you say goodbye to your dear dad.

The love, care and strength you gave him speaks volumes. You were an incredible daughter and carer, and you did your dad truly proud.

We know how close you were and how deep this loss feels.

Please remember you’re not alone; we’re here for you now and always.

Time will soften the sadness, and until then, we hold you all close.

With love...

Flower selection and symbolism

This beautifully fresh, green-led bouquet has a calm, thoughtful feel.

  • Green Hypericum Berries ~ Symbolise good health, protection and positivity. Their clustered berries represent abundance and a sense of reassurance, wellbeing and emotional balance.

  • Hard Ruscus ~A symbol of strength, endurance and protection.

  • Thlaspi ~ Represents prosperity, peace and renewal and symbolises fresh beginnings and steady growth.

  • Aspidistra ~ Symbolises steadfastness, loyalty and quiet strength. Like our friendship, it speaks of reliability and lasting support.

  • Pistache ~ Symbolises happiness, vitality and abundance, bringing warmth and movement, suggesting generosity and good fortune.

  • Iris ~ A powerful symbol of hope, wisdom and faith. Traditionally linked to messages and new paths.

  • Green Sweet William ~Represents gratitude, admiration and lasting bonds. In green tones, it also reflects harmony, balance and a sense of calm appreciation (and a nod to well-groomed fairways).

  • Chrysanthemum ~ Symbolises hope, friendship and gentle optimism. They speak of light returning after darkness, offering comfort, warmth and quiet reassurance.
