A Father's love

For this arrangement, I was asked to create something deeply personal for a friend grieving the sudden loss of their father. The brief centred around love, friendship, family, and the feeling of being completely wrapped in support during unimaginable heartbreak. Inspired by the warmth and laughter they bring to those around them, the story and flowers were designed to honour both the love shared with their dad and the circle of friends holding them close through this difficult time.
Floral storytelling
A Father's love
It doesn’t disappear when he is gone. It becomes part of the fabric of those he leaves behind, woven into their strength, their kindness, their laughter, their traditions, and the way they love others. It lives on in the stories retold around tables, in familiar expressions, in shared mannerisms, and in the warmth of a family gathered close.
His love will continue through the beautiful family he created, through the memories held tightly, and through you, the woman who carries so much of him within her every single day.
While this chapter feels impossibly heavy, you will never walk it alone. Around you stands a circle of people who love you deeply, who are holding you close in thought, and who will be there through every tear, every memory, and every moment still to come.
Because life gives us grief only where there has first been great love.
And you are surrounded by so much love.
Flower selection and symbolism
This bouquet tells a story of love that continues through loss.
The lupins symbolise imagination, strength, and the deep admiration held for a person who brings light and laughter wherever they go. Their tall, reaching stems reflect the enduring presence of a father’s love, always surrounding
and guiding those he leaves behind.
Coral roses represent gratitude, warmth, and treasured memories. They speak of the deep love between a father and daughter, and of a life filled with moments that will forever be carried close to the heart.
Purple lisianthus symbolises appreciation and lifelong connection. Soft yet resilient, they reflect the beauty of family bonds and the comfort found in the people who stand beside us.
Coral spray carnations represent enduring love and remembrance. Each delicate bloom is a reminder that love lives on in the fabric of those left behind, in shared laughter, familiar gestures, and the stories retold over time.
Purple allium symbolises unity, strength, and togetherness. Like a circle of family and friends gathered close, they represent the support, loyalty, and love that surrounds you
Together, these flowers are a tribute to a beautiful life, a deeply loved father, and the unbreakable bond between family, friendship, and love that continues always.
