Fifty-eight years, one beautiful story

This was a lovely arrangement to create for our aunt, as a gift to my mother and father-in-law.

Floral storytelling

At Bedwellty Church, so many years ago, you promised each other, through all life’s ebb and flow.

Jill and I stood proudly, bridesmaids

in green, a day full of joy, a sight to be seen.

At the Castle Hotel, the laughter was bright,

as family and friends gathered that night.

Then off to Jersey, as newlyweds do, the first

of adventures, a love ever true.

Through the years that have followed, the memories remain of Bindles in Barry, with laughter again. Of summers in Swanage, the games that we played, and Christmas at Bakers’, where music was made.

Then Rachel and Gareth, your blessings, arrived, with stories and moments that kept love alive. We still smile remembering Carol’s surprise, bouquet in his hands, pride clear in his eyes.

Now fifty-eight years have gracefully passed,

a marriage so steady, a love made to last.

Through laughter and trials, through joy and through tears, you’ve woven a story of wonderful years.

So here’s to you both, with love ever true,

to memories cherished, and those still brand new.

A sister’s warm blessing, with pride from the heart;

god bless you both, never to part.

Flower selection and symbolism

This arrangement carries a special meaning for a 58th wedding anniversary.

Red dahlias for deep love and passion - a reminder of the strong bond that has carried you through 58 years together.

Orange dahlias for warmth, joy, and positivity - reflecting the happiness you have shared, and the light you’ve brought to family and friends.

Pink dahlias for grace, kindness and lasting affection - the qualities woven throughout your marriage.

The garden foliage brings a sense of rootedness and growth, symbolising the life you have built together, always grounded in love and flourishing with time.

Together, the flowers tell the story of a marriage full of devotion, laughter, beauty, and resilience; a fitting tribute to your remarkable journey.
