A Rioja rumba

I created this winter door wreath for a group of friends to mark a moment of change, celebration and heartfelt goodbyes. Designed for a family as they begin a new chapter in their beautiful new home. The door wreath is rooted in woodland foliage and natural greenery chosen for their seasonal beauty and the stories they carry.

Floral storytelling

Dear...

To our wonderful neighbours, leaving Newbridge for Usk, and leaving us all saying, “Too posh to stay? Don’t go, don’t go!”

The nurse, the engineer, and the studious dancers, a gorgeous, loving brood who light up every room.

You’ll be sadly missed, by young and old,but what an opportunity, to smile, sip, and reminisce.

We’ve shared so many memories, events, and holidays, laughter and nonsense, and more wine than we’d admit.

Halloween fun, Christmas chaos, birthday parties and lockdown, all full of joy. Tapas nights, and that unforgettable trip to Rioja.

We’ll miss the giant wine glasses, the Luis Cañas on tap, and the questionably tuneful karaoke sing-songs, that somehow became the highlight every time.

And oh, the annual glamour of ball gowns, tuxedos, ‘takeaways’ and sparkle at the Celtic Manor.

We hope you’re so very happy in your beautiful new home - filled with love, laughter, and all the family time you deserve as you continue living life to the full.

And remember, whatever the occasion, however big or small, we’ll be there, wine in hand and dancing shoes at the ready.

Evergreens for warmth, continuity, and the strength of our friendship

Laurel for honour, celebration, and good fortune in your new home

Ivy trails as a symbol of connection, like neighbours who stay close, even when one moves!

Twigs as a nod to shared memories and natural warmth

Pinecones for growth, new beginnings, and your new chapter in Usk

Dried hydrangea heads for elegance and nostalgia

Berries for fun, colourful celebrations and Rioja’s deep ruby tones

Cinnamon sticks for its warm, cosy scent, perfect for a home that welcomes laughter and gatherings

Gold and pink ribbon for the sparkle of the celebrations we’ve shared and those still to come.
