Great weekend in Stoke on Trent with one of my besties! Jam packed and absolutely loved it. Happy to share our itinerary and travel plan if anyone would like it. So much to explore we could have stayed. I’m a big fan of @emma_bridgewater, you’ll see her collections popping up on here. We loved @gladstonepottery and @middleport_pottery all so rich in history. There was lots to do and delicious food to keep us going. Great girly tour ❤️

A Morning at the Flower Farm

I had the loveliest time wandering through the fields at Coalfield Flower Farm in Tonyrefail, South Wales. The paths were lined with early blooms and quiet promise, and everywhere there was a feeling of gentle care; the kind that settles your mind as soon as you arrive.

Chris and Katie welcomed me like an old friend. So warm, so open, so genuinely supportive. They and the farm itself were exactly what they say they are: a place where flowers and people are given the space they need to grow.

There is something grounding about a flower farm. Among the beds of stems, it’s clear that flowers are a like us, they need care, patience, and the right conditions to flourish.

The farm is a sanctuary for anyone who might need it, a place where no matter what challenges you carry, you’ll find a warm welcome. It’s a place to meet, share, learn new skills, and help grow beautiful seasonal blooms.

I loved spending time there, talking about how we might work together and how I could weave their flowers into my own offerings. Sharing ideas, stories, and experiences among the beds of growing stems felt natural and exciting.

It was such a reassuringly positive meeting. I left feeling incredibly lucky and deeply inspired.

A Morning at the Flower Farm

By the estuary’s edge, where soft tides sing,
fifty years gathered in laughter’s ring.
A lodge of joy, a haven of light,
where love filled the rooms by day and by night.

The air held the scent of prosecco and cheer,
of stories retold, of all you hold dear.
Laughter and pizza, faces dusted with flour,
friendship and family in full, fragrant flower.

Pink Gerberas danced, bright symbols of fun,
Roses for kindness, for all you’ve begun.
Carnations in orange, the warmth of the sun,
Chrysanthemums deep , reflections hard-won.

Scabiosa soft, where memories stay,
and Wax Flower sealed each perfect day.
From Dylan’s walk to Sunday’s sweet close,
each moment a petal in life’s rare rose.

A weekend of wonder, of hearts fulfilled,
the spirit of laughter, forever
