Tail of thanks

This bouquet was from my December Flower Drop, but I personalised the message and adapted the symbolism as a thank you for a couple who were looking after their son's dog, Ted.

Floral story telling

This was a fun one and the personalised message read:

Dear...

While my family are chasing sunshine

and sea breezes in Portugal far away,

I stayed home with your kind hands,

gentle voices, and walks that feel like play.

You’ve kept my bowl full,

my paws busy and my heart content,

with cuddles, care and patience

in every moment spent.

So these flowers bloom with thanks

for all the love you show me.

With a wagging tail and happy heart,

thank you!

With love, from

Ted 🐾

Flower selection and symbolism

I adapted the flower symbolism and personalised the flower selection:

Rose ~ A timeless symbol of gratitude, affection and appreciation. Expressing heartfelt thanks from Ted.

Snapdragon ~ Symbolising kindness, grace and quiet strength. Reflecting the dependable care and gentle attention you give Ted.

Astilbe ~ Represents patience, thoughtfulness and tenderness—a nod to the small, loving details that make Ted feel truly cared for.

Eucalyptus ~ A symbol of protection, healing and calm. Speak of reassurance and a safe, happy home.

Astrantia ~ Often associated with devotion and connection. Representing going the extra mile, your kindness, and generosity.

Sanguisorba ~ A flower of quiet endurance and harmony. Reflecting steady care and the comfort of knowing you are always there.

Limonium ~ Known for symbolising remembrance and lasting appreciation. For the gratitude that lingers long after these flowers themselves.
